Be foolishly in love,
because love is all there is.
First Attempt at a Love Poem
I am not asking
for anything from you,
except that you think about wind
existing with no source
or destinationenough power to drive
a stalk of wheat
through a tree
three towns over
and how it could be
like that.
Posting again just because.
If the boy who draws
lets you look over his shoulder.
If the poet
smiles
and shows you her words.
If the girl who sings for the shower only,
hums a song
in front of you.
Know that you’re no longer a person
but the air
and dust
that fills their lungs.
When the world perishes,
and all things cease to exist,
you’ll remain inside an ink stain,
a paint brush,
a song.

Exactly.
5 minutes
Taking 5 minutes, as often as I can, to close my eyes.
And love who I love, as hard as I can.
The big things, and the little things.
